ABOUT THE BEGINNERS TOUR
The LMPJ Tour is an introduction to development tour for boys and girls beginners of all skill levels, aged 5 to 14 years.
A series of one-day (9 or 18 hole) competitions held on weekends or during weekdays throughout the season. The events will be held in the Ontario region and participants earn national order of merit points based on their ranking in each event.
In addition to the standard one-day competition, the Beginners Tour also features several two-day (36) hole competitions to help prepare older players for the Youth Tour.
The goal of the Beginners Tour is to provide a balanced number of competitions for the improvement of novice players, in a fun and inclusive environment for players who are just getting started. To ensure support and guidance to beginners during games, caddie will be allowed to be used in all categories.
The purpose of allowing Caddies (who can be their parent, brother or even the instructor) is either to keep the juniors more relaxed knowing that they have someone there to guide them or a professional Caddie in some of the toughest decisions they will encounter on the field, as well as to provide our players’ parents with the opportunity to know the practice and rules of the game.
The Beginners Tour is a great way for younger guests and parents to spend an afternoon on the course and make new friends with those who share a passion for the game of golf.

A note for the parents of beginners
Winning is great, but parents have an obligation to teach their children to win on the field with the best result, that means it means that the outcome of each hole should not be changed to satisfy their desire to win. Our goal is not only to form great competitors and sportsmen, but also good citizens. If your child has the well-developed skills and you expect him to have good results, then whatever number he should write down on the card and then he will be on the right track.
And always good to put the skills of our children, this will also help the more advanced players to better prepare for international competitions, since most “JUNIOR” tournaments operate in layouts with longer yards.
Message
“You don’t need to be the best player or win every tournament you participate in, gain experience and develop your potential and improve every tournament should be your focus. The most and always important you trust your Coach and follow his directions. There are a number of factors that involve the formation of competitors and, mental and physical aspects are the main factors that your Coach for your student and that yes, will make you a successful golfer.”
